Welcome!
There are few things scarier to a writer than a blank page.
I’ve been trying to decide for a while what to write my first blog on, gone back and forth on several topics then got a bit overwhelmed and abandoned it!
So, I’ve decided to take the pressure off, keep it simple and simply say hello!
I’ve always loved writing. I began journaling when I was 15, as I find it helps me organise my thoughts and connect to myself, so that I can better connect with others.
And professionally, over the last 12 years, I’ve written briefings for ministers, reports for policymakers and news articles for the public, on various health and care issues, to support engagement and decision making.
So my hope with this blog is to help readers get to know me a bit better, and learn with me as I grow The Soul Practice.
I’m passionate about all things health, especially women and girls, and exploring ways to create a holistic approach to wellbeing that starts with feeling safe in our bodies, communities and society.
My hope for The Soul Practice (TSP) is to provide a safe supportive space, with practical tools and guidance, for women and girls from all walks of life to build greater safety and connection within their own bodies, so that they can bring greater safety and connection to the people and communities around them.
I believe this is this is kind of healing we need, that the health system is unable to offer.
I’m so grateful to be healthy, safe and well, on the other side of chronic stress, and it’s my absolute honour to share what I’ve learnt to support others in their healing and growth.
I’ve had some interesting meetings recently, and have more planned, that I look forward to sharing here.
Until then, thanks for being here
